Includes a FREE room thermometer to help parents confidently dress their baby for sleep.
The Cocoon Swaddle Bag is designed to be both easy to use and difficult to escape from. This zip-up swaddle keeps babies snug and securely wrapped without the need for complicated swaddling techniques, helping calm the startle reflex and support more settled sleep.
The 2.5 TOG Cocoon Swaddle Bag is suitable for room temperatures of 17–21°C / 63–70°F and can be used on its own without additional blankets, making it a safe sleep option for newborns and babies. The chest panel is rated 1.0 TOG to help prevent overheating while allowing full chest expansion for comfortable breathing.
Made from and filled with GOTS certified organic cotton, with elastane in the outer fabric and a soft bamboo lining, the Cocoon Swaddle Bag provides gentle firmness to restrict startle reflex while still allowing stretch and movement for healthy growth. The breathable natural fibres are non-toxic, dyed with water-based dyes, and gentle on newborn and eczema-prone skin.
Handy arm poppers allow a smooth transition from arms-in swaddling to arms-out sleeping once baby shows signs of rolling. The bell-shaped design is approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, supporting healthy hip and joint development.
A two-way zip allows quick and easy nappy changes with minimal sleep disruption, while a zip enclosure protects delicate skin. Each Cocoon Swaddle Bag comes with a FREE room thermometer and What-to-Wear guide to help parents dress their baby safely for the room temperature.
Ensure you buy the correct size for your baby’s weight to prevent the Cocoon Swaddle Bag from riding up around your baby’s face. Refer to the Size Guide for more information.
Not suitable for use in a 5-point harness.
Lay Cocoon on a flat, low surface with the zip open and arm poppers closed.
Lay baby on top, tuck legs inside, and zip up with hands positioned by their sides or across the chest.
For nappy changes or cooling, unzip from the bottom to release the legs and lower torso.
Layer underneath as needed for warmth.
When baby shows signs of rolling, transition to arms-out sleep by opening the shoulder poppers one arm at a time over several days.
If your newborn does not like being swaddled, it is safe to use the Cocoon with arms out from the beginning.
Always place baby to sleep in a safe-sleep environment.
