Inspired by Hector’s Dolphins:
These loungers are named in honour of Hector’s Dolphins, the smallest and rarest marine dolphins in the world. A subspecies, Maui’s Dolphin, is critically endangered, with only around 55 remaining in the wild. Found only in the shallow coastal waters of New Zealand’s North Island, they face threats from gill nets and trawling. Conservation efforts, led by organisations such as the WWF, are focused on establishing protected ocean corridors to safeguard their future.
