Mísa started as a feeling, one we kept chasing every time we travelled. That sense of deep relaxation, where the pace slows, the light is soft, and beauty is found in the simplest things. We always came back from trips feeling lighter, more grounded, and we wanted to recreate that in our everyday lives.

We’ve both always loved interiors, but more than that, we’ve loved how spaces can make you feel. Mísa is our way of sharing that creating products that bring a sense of calm, sanctuary, and understated beauty into the home. At its heart, Mísa reflects the lifestyle we try to live ourselves: slower, more intentional, and rooted in the natural ease of the Balearics.

Mísa is a blend of our names: Mia and Sarah, which felt like a lovely, organic starting point. We also liked the nod to the Spanish phrase mi casa ‘my home’ which ties beautifully to our inspiration from Mediterranean living and the idea of creating a personal sanctuary. It’s a name that holds meaning for us personally, while also reflecting the warmth, simplicity, and sense of belonging we want Mísa to bring into people’s homes.

We were drawn to linen because it feels effortless, but also has real depth. It’s natural, breathable, and full of character, the kind of material that only gets better with age. Linen is twice as strong as cotton, and the way it softens over time gives it a lived-in, soulful feel that we love. It’s sustainable not just in how it's made, but in how it lasts. For us, it’s the perfect balance of beauty and practicality. It also brings that relaxed, undone elegance we associate with Mediterranean living.

At Mísa, we’re committed to creating homeware that’s as thoughtful as it is beautiful. One of the biggest challenges has been rejecting the fast-paced, trend-driven nature of home decor in favour of a slower, more considered approach. We’ve chosen to make many of our products to order, which helps us reduce waste and focus on creating pieces that hold real meaning. We also repurpose our offcuts wherever possible, turning what might otherwise be discarded into useful, functional items that still reflect our aesthetic.

Transparency has also been key. We've worked hard to build relationships with suppliers who share our values and uphold strong ethical and environmental standards. Our inserts are ethically sourced too, so every element from the fabric to the filling, carries that same intention. For us, sustainability isn’t a box to tick—it’s a mindset that runs through everything we do.

From day one, Mísa has been about more than products, it’s about creating a feeling. A sense of calm, softness, and ease that extends beyond the home and into the way we live.

While we launched with just a few carefully chosen pieces, Mísa was always meant to grow. We see it evolving into a full lifestyle brand, one that supports a slower, more intentional way of living across every part of the home and daily rituals.
