There is not enough space here to write down all of the reasons that we need to use less plastic, but one thing we can do, which we think is pretty cool, is make duvets from bottles that have been fished (literally) out of the oceans. If we don’t act now, sadly, there will be more plastic in our precious seas than fish by 2050. Plastics, as we know cause injury, distress, pollution and are a big problem for wildlife and humans alike. Thanks to some very clever caring people, with a big vision and an enormous net, we have been able to source a filling that is made directly from plastic that has been discarded into the sea. The plastic is collected by Plastic Bank (Social Plastic®), cleaned and recycled before being used to manufacture bedding filling fibres in Germany. This soft, very fluffy and durable filling is called AERELLE® Blue and has all of the quality and comfort benefits that you would expect from a polyester filled duvet and pillow but with the added benefit of also qualifying for the EU Ecolabel. All of our Bottle Bedding products produced using AERELLE® Blue will carry an individually numbered label to ensure full traceability and transparency, and if that doesn’t make you sleep like a baby turtle, the process is also certified by the Global Recycling Standard. The filling is not unusual for a synthetic filled bedding, the feel is softer than soft to the touch, has a wonderful drape and is available in all of the different tog ratings that you would expect from our duvets. This duvet will be a pleasure for years if looked after well, washed at 40 degrees in a domestic machine, and line dried until completely dry. Our Bottle Bedding Duvet is covered with our premium 233 thread count, 100% cotton cover, and finished with a cotton piped edge. The duvet has brilliant baffle box construction, meaning the filling will stay where it’s intended, inside the patchwork pockets within the duvet. Our Bottle bedding is made to order and comes in single, double, king, super king and emperor sizes. 2.5 tog - light summer use 4.5 tog - summer use 9 tog - spring/autumn use 10.5 tog – cooler spring/autumn months 13.5 tog – winter months 15 tog – colder winter months All Seasons (4.5 and 9 tog) - all year round comfort Our All Seasons duvet consists of a 4.5 tog duvet and a 9 tog duvet that can be fastened together with nifty poppers, so that you'll be covered for summer, winter, and everything in between.

Frequently asked questions about Duvets
Tog measures how well a duvet traps heat. The higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet; the lower the tog, the cooler and lighter it will feel.
Choose your tog based on the season and how warm you like to sleep. As a guide, 1–4.5 tog is best for summer, 7–10.5 tog suits spring and autumn, and 10.5–13.5 tog is ideal for colder winter nights.
An anti-allergy duvet is made with materials or treatments that help prevent allergens from clinging to the duvet, making it easier to keep your bedding fresh and hygienic.
Always check the care label first, but regular washing helps keep your duvet fresh and reduces the build-up of allergens, bacteria and dust. Wash at the highest temperature recommended on the care label.
