Balmista was founded during a time of profound personal change. When job loss, pregnancy, and the global pandemic happened all at once, founder Balmista chose to transform uncertainty into opportunity — creating a skincare brand focused on wellness, resilience, and connection.

Inspired by her upbringing in a Dagestani household where beauty and skincare were part of everyday life, she grew up surrounded by products and techniques through her mother, a beauty therapist. These early influences shaped her deep understanding of skincare and the importance of caring for both skin and self.

During pregnancy, while navigating the emotional and physical challenges of the pandemic, she began creating her own natural skincare formulations. As her skin began to improve dramatically using these handmade products, Balmista was born — a way to share the same nourishing, nature-inspired care with others.

Today, Balmista focuses on creating luxurious yet natural skincare designed to support healthy skin while encouraging moments of calm and self-connection.
