Founded officially as Ancher Iversen Aps in 1960, the company’s early successes included the Femina dinnerware and later the iconic Atelier collection by Finn Maae Jensen, which sold over 200 million units. In 1997, the acquisition of historic stoneware maker Søholm revived beloved designs like Circo and Åbo, showcased at MoMA in New York.
Rebranded as aida in 2003, the brand has since collaborated with creatives such as Bjørn Wiinblad, Mads Odgaard, Poul Pava, and C.F. Møller Architects. Key launches include the RAW stoneware range in 2016 and the bold LIFE IN COLOUR series in 2023 with designer Karim Rashid. Today, from their Aarhus headquarters, aida continues to merge heritage craft with modern design for joyful, lasting tableware.
