Bobbin and Bumble was founded in 2016 by Emma, a mum from Yorkshire, after struggling to find a practical and stylish cover for her daughter’s IKEA ANTILOP highchair. Unable to find a wipeable option suited to messy mealtimes, she decided to make her own—teaching herself to sew with a second-hand machine and support from her mum. What started as a simple solution quickly grew into a small business after sharing her designs online and launching on Etsy.
