Purscents is all about creating exquisite scents deeply inspired by nature to refresh the home and enhance wellbeing, all while committing to making small sustainable choices to minimise their environmental footprint.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Maame found herself getting creative to boost her mood and break up the monotony of being stuck indoors all the time. She dabbled in painting and even tried growing vegetables. But she also discovered a newfound passion for burning candles, which had a wonderfully positive impact on her mood. However, It was during a summer weekend getaway with her husband in 2021 that the idea of Purscents was born. They enjoyed afternoon tea at a charming garden cafe, where they were surrounded by intricate scents that transported her to a serene rural setting. Inspired, she decided to recreate those delightful scents in her own home, as a constant reminder of that moment. As the pandemic continued, the wastefulness from the number of unused candle jars she accumulated and eventually had to throw away bothered her greatly, igniting a strong desire to create a luxurious and sustainable home fragrance brand.
Every product is made using plant-based ingredients infused with 100% essential oils and plant extracts, and because of their belief that sustainability and quality should not be mutually exclusive, each product is carefully handcrafted in small batches, ensuring nothing short of a luxurious experience for their customers.
