GUARDI was founded in 2020 by Veronika Guardi, a London based fashion designer drawn to exquisite materials and effortlessly feminine silhouettes. Adapting designs to suit different body shapes, they create fashion that celebrates your form. Empowering and inclusive, no matter size or age, GUARDI embodies easy-to-wear shapes for the contemporary woman. All their garments are made from either sustainable and recycled materials or rescued deadstock fabrics that would have otherwise been sent to landfill.
We speak with Veronika about why she started the brand, and what makes GUARDI womenswear so special.
Who founded GUARDI, and what inspired them?
GUARDI was founded by London fashion designer Veronika Guardi. Most of Veronika’s career has been building her own fashion design and manufacturing business. This experience then led her to want to build her own brand and GUARDI was formed.
How are you working to make GUARDI more inclusive?
We are constantly evolving our collections and offering a wider range of sizes. We currently offer XS-XXL for some of our products but we are aiming to offer an even wider size range for all. What drives you, and where do you get your inspiration from?
Inspiration can come from anywhere and a lot of our inspiration comes from the women who wear our garments. We listen to our customers and what’s going on in the world. We are also heavily influenced by fabrics as we source sustainable materials that are kind to your skin and the planet.
Of the GUARDI items that we are featuring on myza, which is your particular favourite and why?
We love our Ines Organic Cotton Kimono because it’s so versatile and comfortable to wear. Wear as nightwear or pair with some jeans for a casual daytime look.

How are you focusing on sustainability?
All our garments are made from either sustainable and recycled materials or rescued deadstock fabrics. We only work with fabrics from Europe in order to keep our supply chain as sustainable and as close to home as possible.
We are lucky enough to have our own family-run ethical factory based in Bulgaria where all our employees are fairly paid above the minimum living wage in Europe and offered flexible working hours. 90% of our factory team are women; women who balance providing for their families whilst also taking care of them. .
Where do you see GUARDI going in the next five years?
We are constantly evolving and listening to our customers. We would like to continue to create versatile pieces that are easy to wear, comfortable and sustainable.
Finally, a few pearls of wisdom from you! What is your pre-sleep ritual? Do you have a specific way of getting a good night’s Sleep?
Our favourite pre-sleep ritual is putting on our Aura or Rae short set and settling down with a good wholesome book.
